“ Cursurile Societe Gourmet nu sunt (doar) cursuri de gatit. Sunt un mod de viata: afli secrete mici despre aluaturi si secrete mari despre calitatea produselor gourmet din Bucuresti, petreci cateva ore alaturi de oameni cu aceeasi pasiune pentru a trai frumos ca si tine, razi, mirosi, gusti. La final, toate felurile minunate pe care le pregatesti impreuna cu Daniel, insotite de un vin obligatoriu asortat, se transforma in cina perfecta pentru toti cei ce am muncit…si ne-am distrat.

“I have attended cooking schools in several countries over the last 5 years and I rate Societe Gourmet in Bucharest as the most excellent in many ways.  The standards for the school are equal to fine restaurant standards, well above home cooking standards.  Imagine going to the best restaurant in Bucharest and having the chef invite you into the kitchen to show you all his secrets!  This is the elegant experience awaiting you at Societe Gourmet.  Chef Daniel has all the skills of a well-schooled European chef and a fantastic wealth of knowledge about food chemistry; as he teaches your hands and eyes what to do, he is explaining why it is happening; this makes the difference between simple showing and educating.  I especially appreciate his modern, lighter, healthier touch to all the classic dishes.  For each dish, Chef Daniel demonstrates professional plating techniques to make the healthy food look posh and elegant.  His partner Raluca procures the freshest highest quality ingredients for each dish.  And you are given specially prepared menu books to take home so you can repeat the recipes at home.  The whole experience occurs in an open loft-style Bucharest restaurant with a hip vibe.  And the highlight is that when you sit down to dine on what you have cooked with your fellow students, Chef Daniel offers detailed instruction in the perfect wine pairings for each dish and he places a special focus on organic Romanian wines.
